Deepak Khanna

As an oral and maxillofacial surgeons we do come across oral malignancies which manifest as non-healing ulcers in the oral cavity and if not taken care at an early stage can cause a high degree of morbidity and mortality. The key is to diagnose these lesions at the earliest and treat them accordingly in accordance to the global guidelines. The number of oral and oropharyngeal cancers diagnosed every year is roughly around 666,000 and deaths related to them are 333,000 in the world approximately, which is quite high and itself demands the need for early diagnosis and management of these so that more lives can be saved. Therefore understanding the protocols of managing these cancers is of outmost importance so that there is no confusion that persists. Head neck cancer surgeon treats these tumors on daily basis and therefore will try to clear of some air in the basics of global management of oral and maxillofacial cancers with respect to clinical aspects. This webinar is especially helpful to general dentists, OMS, ENT residents and general surgeons practicing head neck oncology.
